Split International Release Dates
Matt Sharp's Debut Album Release:

Matt Sharp's debut 13 track album will be released in the UK   EIRE on Monday 31st January 2005 in all good stores. The album will be released in a day later in France on February 1st 2005.

We confirm the release date for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg and other territories very shortly.

The album will be available this week on the Split site at a discounted price of £9.99 on CD or £4.99 as a digital download.

Split Records are pleased to announce thatin addition to releasing the Matt Sharp album and 7" in UK & EIRE we will now also be releasing the album in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Press and distribution in France will be handled by Chronowax and in the Benelux territory by Suburban.

PIAS Recordings GmbH in Hamburg and BOOMPA! Records in Vancouver are now distributing an altertnative LP of Matt Sharp's debut album in partnership with Split Records.

A limited edition of Matt Sharp's album is also available on vinyl from GlitterHouse Mailorder.

Matt Sharp Single
Split are poised to release Matt Sharp's limited edtion 7" single. The official release date is November 25th.

Featuring tracks 'Just Like Movie Stars' and 'Before You Go', the single can be pre-ordered or bought online at Split Records.

Split Records have signed Matt Sharp, formerly of Weezer and The Rentals

to the UK & Eire for a 1 album deal with the option of a second.

The album will be released in January '05 and will be preceded by a limited edition 7" single in November. Matt will break off from his world tour to perform a one off exclusive gig in Redux, Commercial Street, E1 on Thursday 11th November. More details will follow shortly.

Matt's album is a haunting collection of atmospheric songs that has earned excellent reviews in the US from college radios and magazines to Rolling Stone and Billboard magazine.

Split is also pleased to announce that they have secured 2 additional bonus tracks that aren't available on the US edition of the album. Matt is currently on the North American leg of his world tour. For more details see the artist section.
